AN OVERVIEW OF LAKEVIEW

Lakeview is located on Chicago’s North Side, four miles north of the Loop and approximately six miles north of downtown. Diversey Parkway borders the neighborhood on the south and Irving Park Road on the north. On the east border is the beautiful Lake Michigan.

Eventually,  immigrants from Sweden, Germany, and Luxembourg settled in the area.  After the real estate boom in 1889 and the establishment of Wrigley Field, the community grew significantly to become the sought-after residential neighborhood it is today.
